I am LaTosha N.Jones, born in Dallas, TX I am a mother of 2 grown sons & 2 grand children Jeremiah & Jonalyn. I am the oldest of 3 siblings. My education consists of a High School Diploma from Bryan Adams in Dallas, TX as well as Aladdin Beauty College in Garland, TX, I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since the age of 19.  I worked in that field for many years doing what I love hair & makeup. I believe that is my passion and also a true gift from GOD. In my spare time I like Reading, Journaling and Creating gifts for others. I enjoy making gift baskets, throw blankets, jewelry, and you name it, I’ll create it!!! In my leisure time, you can find me, at the theater, museum, or a stage play.

Later in life, I start working with the elderly community as a caregiver/nurses assistant. Here I share my gifts and compassion with the elderly whish is a burden on my heart. After volunteering and working in various capacities, and seeing people who were once able to take care of themselves, and now their not just the ADL’s anymore. I've worked as a Care Manager for a residential home and that was very enlightening. Also, having my own business as a Program Director from 2007 - 2014 and working with the disable & elderly community.

 

What led me to start AFDMP was, during my teen year there was not , any positive guidance in my life. I grew up a product of my environment. And I ask God, what can I do to make someone elses life better?  I wanted to see young girls have morals and standards about themselves. I wanted them to love themselves, and to know who they were. I didn’t want them to go through the heart ache and pain I had to endure as living a fast life. I wanted to become a listening ear and a safe haven for our youth today. AFDMP was established in 2012, we are still here and growin strong today, transforming the lives of our greatest generation, one at a time!!!
